Chitrangada Singh, who was last seen in Modern Love Mumbai, is one actress who always surprises me with her work. Her portrayal of Mary in Bob Biswas displayed her caliber as a fine actress. And now, the lady has taken the route of production to enhance her creative skills. After making her debut as a producer in Soorma starring Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu, the actress is set for another venture. Chitrangada recently bagged the rights to make a film on Indian Army’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient Yogendra Yadav.

On bagging the rights, Chitrangada says…

I’m very excited to tell stories of real heroes that are many times forgotten even though they still live amongst us . We need to glorify their journey . This will be another attempt to do what I tried with Soorma

Chitrangada Singh

The film will be based on an inspirational tale of incredible bravery of Subedar Yogendra Yadav. The man had fought Kargil War and till date at 19 years, he is the youngest receiver of the prestigious honor. He is also one of the three living awardees who still serves the Indian Army with his service. The rights of the movie are with CSfilms co-owned with Deepak Singh.

Well, now that looks like a great story to watch on the big screen. I am totally thrilled to know how the actress would transform this inspirational story into a larger than life canvas of screen. Talking about her other projects, Chitrangada will be seen in Gaslight where she will share screen with Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey. I must say that’s an interesting lineup of films. I am sure the film based on Subedar Yogendra Yadav would be a delight to watch.
