Whenever I watch Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal‘s performance, I just can’t stop admiring them. I think Richa was worth watching in Inside Edge, Panga and Madam Chief Minister. However, I am unable to take my mind off Guddu’s character in Mirzapur played by Ali Fazal. Both the actors have showcased their talent in a unique set of content formats. And recently Ali and Richa were awarded for their achievements in cinema at the Marateale in Italy.

The Marateale Film Festival in Italy has awarded Richa and Ali with the Outstanding International Talent Awards. This is the first festival, where the couple were awarded together.

On winning the awards Richa responds…

We were elated when we were told that the festival wants to award us. To know the past recipients of the award is such an honor. Ali and I are both looking forward to the festival and to be amongst peers who love cinema as much as we do and to celebrate everything about the movies.

On the prestigious recognition Ali says…

I’m elated and honored that the Marateale Film Festival has chosen to honor Richa and me. This recognition means a lot to us as artists of the world ahead looking to bring change with our stories and actions . For a platform to internationally recognize our work and to give this title / award to us makes me very happy. Glad to know that our work has had an impact in different parts of the world.

Interestingly the past recipients of the awards were renowned personalities like Sophia Loren, Richard Gere, John Landis among others.

Well, I must say these recognitions motivate the actors to do their best. Talking about Richa and Ali, both of them have a list of interesting filmographies. And now, they are also set to become producers. I am sure it will be interesting to watch how they juggle acting as well as producing.
