I have been very impressed with the kind of films that Bollywood has made and is making off-late. In fact, some of these stories are truly heartwarming, a true labour of hard work and dedication. One such film that I am eager to watch on the big screen is Vicky Kaushal and Sanya Malhotra starrer Sam Bahadur. Well, there are two main reasons why this film has my attention, one is the brilliant star cast it has. Other than Vicky and Sanya, Fatima Sana Shaikh will also be seen in the film. Secondly, this film is helmed by one of my favourite filmmakers Meghna Gulzar. I must say, the team has been putting in some serious hard work ahead of it going on floors today.

I remember how Vicky’s first look in the uniform for this film was so well received by everyone. And now as the team heads on to film the story based on Sam Manekshaw‘s life, I am sure many more amazing moments will come our way. For those who don’t know, the Meghna Gulzar directorial is based on the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. Well, I am sure this will be quite an endearing story which will be so beautiful told by a maverick like Meghna and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
To add to all of this, I am super thrilled to see Sanya and Vicky share screenspace and even the brilliance of Fatima’s craft in this film. On the work front, other than Sam Bahadur, Vicky has Govinda Naam Mera, The Great Indian Family, and Dunki in the pipeline. Sanya on the other hand will be seen in Jawan, while Fatima also has Dhak Dhak in her kitty.
