My very first encounter with actress and producer Kyle Richards was when I watched this gorgeous woman with a dynamic personality on one of the episodes of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills on Hayu. Impressed by how charming Kyle was I started to read about her and all the amazing work she has been doing on the philanthropic front, later I learned that Kyle has been an actor right from her childhood and that got me to watch the original Halloween. What I didn’t know was that just a few days later the universe will actually make us meet virtually for an interview, but when that happened it was quite a beautiful experience.

I spoke to Kyle about her life, her journey as an actor, a parent, a producer and all that The Real Housewives show has changed in her life.

Read the excerpts from her interview here:

On how amazing it feels looking at her journey…

It actually feels amazing, when I think about how I got into this business. My mom was an actor who studied at the academy of drama arts in New York, she had her children young so she had to give up her dream, but she put her kids into that world. Both Kathy and Kim were acting and modelling, but I was the shy one, so my mom thought acting will help me get over her shyness to go and push myself out there. I was 7-years-old when I did the Original Halloween, if it wasn’t for my mom doing that when I was little, I wouldn’t be doing anything I am doing right now.

How shy is this version of Kyle…

I have a very shy side in me still, but I am very good at covering it for the most part. I am somebody who can be 100 percent comfortable in front of a camera, I can make a speech at a birthday, but I struggle to cancel a reservation at a restaurant (laughs). I am actually an introvert, but I kind of balance it by doing what I do and then having alone time to myself. I am who I am, I am better at it, but I still have that in me no matter what.

On the various roles, she has on the personal and professional fronts…

My favourite part is being a parent, but doing the show (The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills) and the things that it has been covering, the opportunities it has brought, acting and having been able to produce now. Producing American Woman was one of the biggest dreams of my life. I had an idea, I pitched it and they wanted it right away. It was a shock, I would pull into at Warner Brothers studios and I had a vibe that I was a producer now. The crew was also emotional about it, they found it quite cool to be able to watch me do that. It was an incredible experience.

On being a producer…

Being a producer is very different. I don’t have anxiety producing, it’s just me being able to creative. No make-up or high heels. It’s just such a fun process.

On The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills…

I have zero regrets doing The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills show. Over these past few years, it’s been an incredible experience, it has opened so many doors for me. Going back into acting, producing, I wrote a book, I opened my clothing stores. We launched our real estate company, while we were shooting for Real Housewives, all these incredible things have happened over these years. Portia was one, now she is in high school, she is 14. It has definitely been for the better, even though there have been so many difficult times.

Kyle Richards had definitely found a fan in me for life and if you too want to witness the greatness of the lady, do watch her amazing stance on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills that is streaming on Hayu.
