Okay, I’m pretty much a self-proclaimed beauty expert. It’s just a title I’ve given myself after years of trying out various beauty products and trends. However, I feel so ashamed knowing that it took me so long to discover the magic that is peach colour correctors! Of course, I was aware they exist but I was completely oblivious to the fact that they can totally transform your makeup and how!

First, let’s try and understand how colour correctors actually work. Think of them as your regular concealer, but colourful! We’re taking you back to art class in school, do you remember colour theory? A huge part of colour theory teaches us that there are certain colours of the colour wheel that cancel each other out. Colour correcting uses this exact logic to give you the complexion of your dreams! It’s a makeup technique where you use colour correction to neutralise uneven complexion that could be caused because of dark under eyes or inflamed pimples.

Now if you’re struggling with dark circles as I do despite sleeping well and using the best eye creams on the block, then a peach colour corrector will really be your bestie. Did you know that it does a better job of concealing those pesky dark circles than your regular concealer does? They manage this feat because of colour theory – peach neutralises shadows with blue and purple undertones. It’s best to go in with them before you begin your makeup to give it an even base. You’re going to notice that your under eyes are perfectly concealed. Thank us later!

We’ve rounded up some of the best peach colour correctors on the block so that you don’t have to worry about looking for one.

Kay Beauty, HD Liquid Colour Corrector in Peach

I enjoyed using the stick colour correctors by Kay Beauty, but their recently launched HD Liquid Colour Correctors are so much better! They offer a seamless, matte finish with medium to full coverage. No matter your skin type, these settle on the under eyes without creasing. I find that this colour corrector blends the best with your fingers. With ingredients such as marula and rosehip oil, it’s truly makeup that cares.

Pixi Beauty, Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach

Pixi Beauty’s Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach is a cream-based colour corrector that happens to be extremely pigmented. So you know a little product can go a long way! Not only does it colour correct your dark circles, but it also blurs lines at the same time. Use a brush to blend this product to achieve its best effect.

LA Girl, HD Pro Concealer Colour Corrector in Peach

Alright, we all know that LA Girl’s HD Pro Conceal range is a cult favourite. It’s the only concealer I’ve been using for more than 5 years now. The Colour Corrector in Peach is equally fabulous. With a texture that is creamy but still not too heavy on the thin skin of your under-eyes, this concealer offers full coverage that still looks extremely natural on the skin. Use your fingers to blend this one!

Smashbox x Becca, Under Eye Brightening Corrector in Fair/Light

I was ecstatic when Smashbox decided to jump in and save Becca! That meant one of my favourite products was not being discontinued. The Under Eye Brightening Corrector in Peachy Pink was the first peach colour corrector I ever used and fell in love with. It’s a full coverage colour corrector that deflects light away from under-eye circles to illuminate that area. Again, this one is best blended with a brush or a very precise beauty blender.

Bobbi Brown, Corrector in Light Peach

The Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach is a great luxe buy that’s definitely worth it. It’s a cream colour corrector with a super lightweight formula, so your usual base products can definitely be layered on top of this with ease. It also imparts moisture to the under-eye area effectively hydrating it whilst being water and sweat resistant.
