Brahmastra Chapter One: Shiva is one of the most eagerly awaited movies of this year. From the time it was announced, I got immensely curious about its concept. The director, Ayan Mukerji is all set to bring two most successful stars of the country, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together, and I can’t contain my excitement. Today, Ayan released a video where he shares his inspiration behind making India’s first original universe- The Astraverse.

I really liked the way the filmmaker goes on sharing his story behind the inspiration of the film. It is intriguing to see how he developed so much interest in the Indian mythological stories. He further goes on saying how the Hollywood films have also played an important role in nurturing the concept of this movie. I am amazed how he has presented different astras like Vanar, Nandi, Prabh, Jal, Pawan, and Brahma.

Bhramastra is a new original cinematic universe inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales from Indian history but set in the modern world. The film deals with epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good vs evil, love and hope; all told using cutting edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacles. When the promo was released, I found it intriguing.

For the uninitiated, Brahmastra: Part One, is the story of Shiva – a young man, who is on the brink of an epic love, with a girl, Isha. Their world turns upside down when Shiva learns that he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmāstra and a great power within him. In this movie, we experience Shiva’s adventures as he journeys into the world of Astras and in turn, discovers his destiny as the divine hero of the universe.

After looking at this video, I am getting excited to watch the film on the big screen.
