With the last two years being quite the booming ground for the OTT space, filmmakers and actors have also learnt how to make optimum use of the platform. These days we see many new projects coming onto the web space, what I love is how this medium has blurred the line between the TV and film industry and brought them all under one roof. An upcoming project like this is the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Jogi which stars Diljit Dosanjh and Amyra Dastur in lead roles. With the poster, I am quite intrigued to see so much happening.

Watch the poster here:

Jogi is a gripping tale of friendship, bravery, love and hope, it is set in the darkest moments of history in India. Going by some reports, the film deals with the 1984 Sikh riots of Delhi.

Talking about being a part of this project, Amyra says,

This is the most important project of my career till now. The story is intense as it’s set during one of India’s darkest moments in history. This character means a lot to me and the hard work that went into bringing her to life is what I’ll always keep close to my heart. My fans are definitely going to be pleasantly surprised and I’m sure the audience is going to be happy with this one. We shot this during the pandemic and it feels so good to see the positive response from people.

The film also stars Hiten Tejwani, Kumud Mishra, and Zeeshan Ayyub in important roles. It is slated to release on the 16th of September on Netflix. Other than this, on the work front, Amyra has Bagheera and Dongri To Dubai in the pipeline.
