I’m going to make a scathing admission, I jumped onto the Olaplex bandwagon much too late. After practically frying my hair with red dye and continuous usage of heating tools, it’s safe to say that my hair was damaged way more than my love life is. No amount of nourishing conditioners and hair masks were able to reverse all of that damage. I remember walking into a Jean-Claude Biguine Salon and telling the staff there, “Do anything, but just make my hair look better.”

They suggested an Olaplex treatment, which back then I was clueless about. Fast forward to 5 years later, I’m an avid Olaplex user and a massive geek about the way their products work. Ever since they launched, Olaplex hair treatments are a salon-favourite for multiple reasons. Not only do they do a stellar job of helping you treat damaged hair but these products and treatments can also be used on non-chemically treated hair to keep em healthy. Unlike usual hair care products that offer shine and gloss, Olaplex works its magic in a rather different way. It penetrates the strands of your hair and repairs every kind of damage, to improve the health and vitality.

If you’ve ever wondered what exactly is it about Olaplex that makes it such a cult favourite, then let us tell you. Their products contain a unique ingredient called bisaminopropyl diglycol dimaleate — a throwback to 10th-grade chemistry, amirite? Okay, what this ingredient does is strive hard to repair any damage done to your hair AND at the same time, protect it from any further damage. It does this by repairing and rebuilding bonds deep within the hair.

This is the time to hop onto the Olaplex bandwagon and here are some of the best products you can try out!

No. 0 Bond Builder

One of the most effective products for hair that is intensely damaged, the No. 0 Bond Builder from Olaplex is a treatment that promises the highest amount of the bisaminopropyl diglycol dimaleate. Which makes this product one of the best ones in this range. Damaged hair that’s coarse and frizzy is a lot smoother and manageable after using this. The No. 0 Bond Builder is supposed to be used on dry hair.

No. 3 Hair Perfector

If you’re someone who’s been dealing with extremely slow hair growth, Olaplex’ No. 3 Hair Perfector is made just for you! It has a creamy formula that needs to be applied on damp hair. Again, this one is a treatment not a hair mask! Did you know that one of these is sold every 3.5 seconds? That’s how effective it is. By reducing breakage, this treatment also protects your hair from any further damage too.

No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo

I call this one the mother of all nourishing shampoos, because it truly is. The No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo from Olaplex intensely repairs and protects your hair from a plethora of aggressors and helps you deal with split ends and frizzy hair by relinking the broken bonds. This is a great product for beginners since it doesn’t contain a lot of their molecule. The No. 4 can be used daily in place of your everyday shampoo!

No. 4P Blonde Enhancer Toning Shampoo

Okay, this one’s for all of my blonde and ash blonde girlies! It doesn’t take a lot for blonde hair to turn brassy, and that’s where purple shampoo comes in. It neutralises all of the brass tones and refreshes the blonde ones. The No. 4P Blonde Enhancer Toning Shampoo isn’t drying at all and needs to be used just once, maximum 2 times a week for best results.

No. 6 Bond Smoother

No. 6 Bond Smoother (Source: www.olaplex.com)

Did you really think we’d leave out a product that’s made specially for curly-haired individuals? Olaplex’ No. 6 Bond Smoother is a leave-in styling treatment that infuses a ton of moisture into your hair and strengthens it too. It also works effectively to reduce the appearance of frizz and really defines those stunning curls of yours. However, you can use this even if your hair isn’t curly.

No. 7 Bonding Oil

No. 7 Bonding Oil (Source: www.lookfantastic.co.in)

I’d like to admit that the No. 7 Bonding Oil from Olaplex is what convinced me to hop on to the Olaplex bandwagon. A versatile, weightless hair oil that boosts shine and softness all while helping you maintain the vibrancy of your colour. Everyone’s a sucker for a multi-tasking product and this one takes the crown. You can use it as a styling treatment, to protect your hair, to tame flyaways and frizz along with reducing dryness. The best part is, a little product goes a long way!
