I have always loved watching Vishal Bhardwaj’s content. After Modern Love Mumbai, I was looking forward to what the director makes next. And I got the answer on Netflix in the name of Khufiya. Starring Tabu and Ali Fazal, Khufiya is a dark thriller. The teaser was released yesterday and I must say it is intriguing. After watching the visuals, I am left with many unanswered questions.

I found the teaser to be extremely dark with an impactful background music. It starts with the visual of Tabu looking at the camera followed by the sight of other characters like Ali Fazal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Azmeri Haque Badhon and Wamiqa Gabbi. As the clip progresses, I noticed Ali smiling in one scene while Tabu was lighting a cigarette in a car during the rain.
After a very long time I have seen a teaser with no dialogues. Though it doesn’t give away anything about the story, it also creates an inquisitiveness of what is going to happen next. As per the reports the film is based on an espionage book called Escape To Nowhere by Amar Bhushan.

Krishna Mehra (Tabu) is an operative at the Research & Analysis Wing. She is assigned to track down the mole selling India’s defense secrets, while grappling with her dual identity as a spy and lover.
The teaser will surely leave you stunned even without any dialogues but I am awaiting for more from Netflix. I think the teaser is impactful, and imagining how the trailer would be? As of now, the OTT platform has not unveiled the release date.
Meanwhile, Tabu will also be seen with Ajay Devgn in Bhola, the actor duo have just wrapped up their project. It is a remake of a Telugu film Kaithi.
