I feel Rajkummar Rao is one of the finest actors in our industry. When I saw him in HIT: The First Case, I was completely impressed with his performance. The grief, anger, frustration he showed in his character was commendable. And today, Netflix dropped the teaser of Rajkummar’s much awaited film Monica, O My Darling. The clip will make you eager to watch the movie, which also stars Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, Sikander Kher in prominent roles.

Check out the teaser here:

The teaser was released with the following caption:

The Prince of Angola has a lot more to him than his story

As the clip began, it showed Rajkummar character Jay narrating Akansha Ranjan’s character Nikki that he belongs to a small town of Angola. The very next moment the character of Huma Qureshi is introduced where she offers tea to Jay. When he denies having it, she says, “It is just tea, not poison.”

Huma in her character gives the vibes of a female boss. Whereas Radhika Apte is seen telling Rajkummar on how to narrate a story in a full Mumbaiya style. Meanwhile, Sikander Kher’s character as a high flying businessman also comes into the frame, who is abusing the Prince of Angola.

The crime comedy is directed by Vasant Bala. Matchbox Shots by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil are the producers of the film.

The project was announced back in 2021, where Netflix had shared some BTS moments with the cast in the form of pictures and videos.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar is also finishing a film Mr and Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor. Huma will start work on Pooja Meri Jaan along with Mrunal Thakur.

Well, Monica, O My Darling looks to me like a thrilling joyride, but we will get the answers soon when Netflix announces its release date.
