There is something about the movies from the south and the actors that always intrigues me. Be it their larger than life story canvas or their personality, South actors seem to be the fit bet for our Indian filmmakers as well. And this year, I am keenly waiting for some of the stars to make their Bollywood debut. From Rashmika Mandanna to Vijay Sethupathi, here’s a look at the south stars who are all set to make an entry in Bollywood.
Before that, let’s have a look at promo of Rashmika Mandanna starrer Goodbye:
The very first entrant for now is the Pushpa The Rise actress Rashmika. The southern beauty is all set to make her Bollywood debut with none other than Amitabh Bachchan in GoodBye. Yesterday, the makers had dropped the trailer and man, I got so emotional after watching it. The film will hit the cinemas on October 7. After this venture, Rashmika will also be seen along with Sidharth Malhotra in Mission Manju next year.
Then we have Vijay Sethupathi, the talented south actor who is known for films like Vikram Vedha, Soodhu Kavvum. He will be sharing screen space alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. Vijay will be playing a negative character in Atlee’s directorial. The movie has locked June 2, 2023 as its release date. Apart from Jawan, he will also be seen in Mumbaikar, Merry Christmas and a silent film- Gandhi Talks.
Then we have Nayanthara, who is also a lady superstar from the South, who is all set to take Bollywood by storm in Jawan. Interestingly she also enjoys the same popularity as the male star down south. As per the reports, the actress will essay a role of investigative officer in the SRK starrer film.
Well, last but definitely not the least, we have Rashii Khanna. who would be starring in Dharma Productions Yodha along with Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani. The film is scheduled to release on November 11. Interestingly, the actress had made her debut in Hindi cinema in John Abraham starrer Madras Cafe.
Apart from these actors, there are also other big names who have already made their big Bollywood debut this year. One of the prominent ones is Vijay Deverakonda, who featured in Liger. Naga Chaitanya essayed the role of Bala in Laal Singh Chaddha.
