Emergency has been a film that has been constantly revolving in my mind from the time it was announced. The very first teaser gave me goosebumps when I saw Kangana Ranaut as late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Slowly, the actress released the looks of other prominent characters in the film. Be it Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary or Milind Soman, the appearance of every actor resembles the person they are playing on screen. Today, the actress shared an impactful note along with the BTS picture on her social media. The note narrates more about her character in the film.

Check out the post here:

The Queen actor shared two pictures in her post. One where she is resembling Mrs. Gandhi and the second one was am image of herself from an earlier photo session.

She writes…

Today is a break day, I don’t call it a break I call it a pause. On such a blank beat you wonder where did you loose yourself. You dissolve in the character and find that nothing of you is left in you. You see your own pictures like a stranger and wonder will you ever be the same. The truth is you can never go back to being the same person, once a character has happened to you it remains like a scar on the soul, like the darkness of the night, like the glow of the moon, like a realisation you can’t own, like a million shining suns, like the dizzying heights of the mountains and suffocating depths of the sea. A character will remain regardless of you. #emergency

To this, her co-star Anupam Kher replies…

You wrote this so well. Every ‘good’ actor with what you wrote. Hai Ho! 👏👏😍

Meanwhile, the actress had shared the following picture few days back:

This is not the first time Anupam Kher was amazed by the director. In an earlier media interaction the veteran actor opened up about working with director Kangana and how he was left mesmerized by her suggestions. Interestingly, it is the 527th film of the veteran actor.

Anupam said…

I recently did a schedule with Kangana and she’s a brilliant director. She would whisper suggestions in my ear that would just leave me mesmerized

Coming back to Kangana’s note, I also feel that if you play a certain character, something inside changes in you. You don’t remain the same person.

Well, the plot of the film revolves around emergency declared in India between 1975 to 1977 by then PM Indira Gandhi. Check out more characters from the film here. After knowing at the talented cast, I am looking forward to watching the film on a big screen.
