I used to adore the character of Angoori Bhabhi when Shilpa Shinde used to portray it on Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! After that the actress went ahead and won Bigg Boss 11. And now, she is currently winning everyone’s hearts on the current season of celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. In an exclusive conversation with Team MissMalini, Shilpa speaks about learning to dance, practicing with choreographers and lots more.

On being a part of JDJ10, Shilpa says…
I am very excited because its again reality show. I am not a good dancer and I can now learn dancing. Its a different feeling because. Dance is not easy. Dance is fun, my choreographer said that this is not a comedy show, we want your expression and you have to dance, do steps and listen to music.
On learning different dance forms she says…
I don’t know anything. Sometimes I feel so strange when there is a lift in a step. But one thing is those chorographers are so good that have a different techniques and tricks to teach you while performing a step. I am learning that and this is my dance school going on with getting name, fame and money.
On rating herself in a scale of 1-10 in dancing, the actress shares…
Right now, I can give myself 5 including expression. Later on may be 10 out of 10. I like mostly Bollywood. The typical masti wala dance. Like in Bigg Boss we used to do anything, but this is not possible here. You have to follow the taal, the steps because all of the contestants are so good. When I look at the other contestants performing in the rehearsal hall, it makes me nervous.
On getting smitten by other contestants performance, she says…
Amruta Khanvilkar is a very good dancer. Gashmeer Mahajani looks hot, plus he is a choreographer. He is going to get so many vote. My fans ‘Shilpians’ are also going to vote for me as they know I am back. All these contestants say that we are not dancers, but all are good.
On impressing a judges…
Nora Fatehi is a very different in her zone. Madhuri Dixit Nene ji is a dancing queen. It would be good to get appreciation and good marks from her. Karan Johar is a director, and he notices everything about you. He is very entertaining, cute and smart. I think he can scold as well.
