In the past few days, the promos and reports in the media about the probable contestants were making me curious about Bigg Boss 16. The moment that I have been waiting for eagerly has finally arrived. Today, the press conference of Salman Khan hosted BB16 took place in Mumbai. And finally the makers have announced the name of the first contestant, who will be entering the Bigg Boss house on the weekend. In the presence of the media, Salman announced Abdu Rozik as the first contestant of Bigg Boss 16.

Before revealing details about Abdu, here’s a look at the promo of the show:

The very first contestant on the Bigg Boss 16 is a Tajikistan singer Abdu Rozik, who etched his name in record books as the world’s shortest singer. He also made headlines when his upcoming MMA fight went viral. He has over 580k subscribers on YouTube and 5 million followers on Instagram. As per some reports, he comes from the family of gardeners. He became instantly famous after his fight with Hasbulla started trending on social media. The cute contestant will also be seen with Salman Khan in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

When Abdu was asked about his favorite actors, he replied ‘Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’.

As Abdu entered the stage, he sang a song Dil Deewana from Maine Pyar Kiya. He also mentioned that he likes to eat Vada Pav and Egg bhurji. Both the men on stage discussed what happens inside the Bigg Boss house. Meanwhile, you can check the tentative list of other contestants here.

The grand event was anchored by Gauahar Khan, who was the winner of Bigg Boss 7. BB16 will premiere on ColorsTV and OTT on October 1. The show will be airing from 9.30 PM and streaming on Voot from 9 pm.
