The most talked about event of Bollywood this year was Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s wedding. Well, the four-day destination wedding across three cities was planned by TailorMade Experiences, wedding and event planners par excellence. I was amazed when I got to know that their team has been planning this four-day event for over two years now and successfully managed to keep the entire process under wraps.

The extravagant celebrations began on the 29th of September with the mehendi and sangeet in Delhi where Richa was born and has been raised. The event was hosted at a home lawn in New Delhi that was the perfect backdrop for their intimate ceremonies with the couple’s closest family and friends. The theme for the event was a representation of Richa’s childhood memories which included her favourite Delhi delicacies and custom cocktails by Knight Gourmet. Richa and Ali hosted three receptions in Delhi, Lucknow and Mumbai to celebrate their nuptials, on the 30th of September, 2nd of October and 4th of October respectively. The receptions were classic and elegant and set the ideal setting and mood.
The reception at Delhi Gymkhana Club was attended by many of Richa’s friends and family while the Lucknow reception where they officially wed was held at Lebua Lucknow, a luxury heritage bungalow. The Lucknow reception was attended by many of Ali’s friends and family.
The final reception was especially for Ali and Richa’s friends and fraternity that took place at The Great Eastern Home, a 176-year old iconic space in Mumbai. The space was converted into a lush green scenery which transported their guests into a tropical indoor rainforest. Food Link offered a tantalizing menu for the evening and drinks were from the Diageo portfolio.
I must say that it was a spectacular grand Bollywood affair and the perfect ending to their celebrations made possible by the team at TailorMade Experiences. They partnered with Purple Tree Events from Goa to design and produce the décor for the mehendi and sangeet, Devika Narain and Company for the Lucknow reception, and Paul Francis for the Mumbai reception decor design and Miray Events for the production.
