Senior actor Arun Bali, who was seen in films like 3 Idiots, Kedarnath, Laal Singh Chaddha and many more passed away in his Mumbai residence today. Bali’s son Ankush said that his father was suffering from an autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis. He also mentioned that his father’s response to the treatment was going well, but he couldn’t make it. He passed away at 4:30 AM in the early hours of morning.

While speaking to the news agency PTI, Ankush said…

My father left us. He was suffering from Myasthenia gravis. He had mood swings for two-three days. He told the caretaker he wanted to go to the washroom and after coming out he told him he wanted to sit down and he never got up then.

Arun was born on December 23, 1942 in Lahore, Pakistan. He acted in various films from Hindi, Telugu and Punjabi film industries. The actor played the role of Kunwar Singh in the popular show Swabhimaan. His role of King Porus in the 90s drama Chanakya was widely appreciated. The thespian is also known for playing grandfather roles like Harshwardhan Wadhwa in Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. He is also a National Award winning producer.

His last film as an actor GoodBye releases today. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles. The film also stars Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, Shivin Narang and Abhishekh Khan. The film revolves around the death of a family member.

His health condition was reported by the section of media earlier this year when he was admitted to Hiranandani hospital in Mumbai for his treatment. The actor is survived by two daughters, who stay in America and a son. His last rites will be performed tomorrow.
