Today afternoon veteran actor and thespian Vikram Gokhale breathed his last in Pune. The noted actor was admitted at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital where he succumbed to a multiple organ failure. As per certain media reports, Vikram’s health had deteriorated and he was on life support. After his family and friends paid their last respects, his last rites have been conducted at 6 pm at the Vaikunth Crematorium today. Earlier this week rumors of his demise were doing rounds, but his family refuted them. However, it has been a major loss for the film industry today.
Workwise we have seen Vikram in prominent films like Agneepath, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mission Mangal, Bang Bang, Hichki, and many more. His career spans 40 years, with some amazing work on television as well, the actor has indeed left a huge legacy of work behind. He also won a national award in 2010 for his Marathi film Anumati. Vikram was last seen in the Marathi film Godavari and in Bollywood we saw him in Nikamma very recently.
Vikram is survived by his wife Vrushali Gokhale and two children. We offer our sincere condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.
