One thing Neena Gupta is sure to do with her films, is stun you. Every character, every script she picks is one that will knock you off your feet. Vadh is no different, it takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and you won’t know what struck you. What starts off with catching a mice, soon turns into slaying a bigger demon their lives. Nawaz Kochra from the Miss Malini team spoke to Neena ji about her latest film Vadh and dived a little into her personal life and her relationship with Masaba Gupta.

They first unraveled the trailer of the film, how it escalates from not killing a rat in the house for religious reasons to talking about disposing a body after a murder. Neena Ji then talks about the beauty of the film, that you never expect a godly looking man to stab someone out of the blue. She initially thought that it is just another film where the child doesn’t pay attention to his old parents, but things took a wild turn very soon..

She also talks about putting up a post on Instagram asking for work, where she says..

There was an impression of me created that I didn’t want to work, I had gone somewhere and someone asked me when did you come back. I just lost it, I went home and wrote the post. I was so scared, I had around 11k followers and I didn’t even know how to delete a post. I was scared of Masaba, because they know more than us in these matters. And there were people around me calling me brave, but I didn’t do it out of bravery, I did it because I needed the work.

She also pitches in about what it is like about being relevant these days

I only want to stay relevant in the eyes of my family.

Here’s a line that truly touched me. She had a lot more to say, and I truly could listen to her speak all day long. Watch the full exclusive interview below to find out more!
