I bet ‘Pitchers’ was one of the first web-series you came across, binged, and then asked all your friends to watch. This series, was a thing much before OTT became the platform that it is now. Watching the trailer of Pitchers 2, almost gave my nostalgia. This web series is about a group of men figuring their way out in the rat race, among other things. Nawaz Kochra, from the Miss Malini team spoke to cast of Pitchers – Ridhi Dogra and Naveen Kasturia and here’s what they had to say…
Nawaz asks Ridhi on her reaction being casted in Pitchers,
I didn’t see Picthers when it came out. I knew TVF and I knew of Pitchers. But I knew that everything they were doing were original and super cool. When I was offered the show I was interested in what my part was, because I knew this show is about men. And I am used to playing strong female characters, so how am I going to find myself here. I can’t do something that is half baked or does not have complete thought given to it.
Naveen also talks about the love the audience gave them after the success of season 1 of Pitchers. He narrates the story of how they walked into an auditorium and the audience erupted in excitement and wouldn’t stop cheering and clapping for straight 10 minutes.
Here’s what Riddhi had to say about embarrassing moments on set,
There are a lot of embarrassing moments. I’ve fallen on set, called people the wrong name. I’ve said the wrong thing at the wrong time. How can I pick one? I mean something, something else comes out of my mouth.
After a round of 20 questions, they ended the conversation on a sweet note asking what they would name their autobiography. For Riddhi it would be ‘Dance Your Way Through Life’ while for Naveen it would be ‘And His Attitude Was – Don’t Worry, Be Happy.’ To find out more, watch the full interview below.
