The weddings were a total delight to see this year. And there were quite a few of them! Some surprising, some that we absolutely saw coming. Nevertheless, these weddings totally gave me couple goals. Here are some of the weddings on 2022, that absolutely stole our hearts.
The couple had an intimate wedding in the balcony of their house, which got many of us gushing over the concept. Alia looked beautiful as ever with his minimal makeup look, while Ranbir couldn’t take his eyes off her.
I was always rooting for this power couple and it was a long time coming. Rich and Ali had a big fat Indian wedding in Richa’s hometown, Lucknow. They held their reception in Mumbai. Richa also personalized her lehenga with moments from their relationship, embroidered onto it.
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar
This wedding looked straight out of a fairytale. Shibani looked ethereal in a red gown, while Farhan donned a sharp black suit for the occasion. The ceremony was an intimate one, held at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala home. Nothing more intimate than a backyard wedding.
Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta
The designer got married to Arpita Mehta in the true big fat Indian wedding sense, and the netizens went crazy over the videos from their wedding. With an creamy white theme, the wedding looked dreamy as ever. Kunal was seen welcoming his blushing bride in the most charming manner, that made my heart go all aww.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar
The Naagin actress got married to her long time boyfriend Suraj Nambiar and internet poured in all their love. The couple had a South Indian wedding, followed by a Bengali styled wedding to respect both their cultures. It surely was a lavish affair and attended by many celebrities.
Karishma Tanna – Varun Bangera
The couple who got engaged in a private manner in 2021, finally tied the knot in 2022. The wedding as well was an intimate affair, in the company of their friends and family.
Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur
The Vikrant and Sheetal had a roka ceremony in 2019, but due to Covid, they had to delay the wedding. They finally tied the knot in an intimate wedding in Himachal Pradesh. The couple were seen gushing with love in their wedding pictures!

From childhood friends to husband and wife, truly sounds like a Bollywood movie plot. But for Hansika and Sohel, it was reality. After a dreamy proposal in Paris, took that the internet by the storm. The couple got married in December, the big fat India wedding style.
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan
This South Indian actress looked gorgeous in a traditional attire at her wedding, which was attended by Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan and many other celebrities. It was however a lowkey affair. The couple also welcomed twins this year via surrogacy. What a year has it been for these two.
Mohit Raina and Aditi Sharma
Mohit Raina who is famous for his roles on television and OTT shows, finally tied the knot with his girlfriend Aditi Sharma on the 1st of January. The happy couple recently put up a post on Instagram celebrating their love and bond.
Watching these wholesome weddings, does make you believe that true love exists. I wish these couples nothing but love and luck for their married life.
