The excitement for the Pathaan release has been through the roof among fans and the rest alike. Amidst all of this buzz, YRF posted a one-on-one with the one and only, Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan. With this interview we get an insight into his world, and what it was like to play the role on screen. I couldn’t help but click play, as soon as I saw it on my feed. Don’t we all want a sneak peek into what Pathaan is like? In Shah Rukh’s words, he is an easy guy, naughty, and tough but doesn’t wear it on his sleeve. He is also trusting and honest, and very single-mindedly thinks of India as his mother. He also talks about how he has always wanted to be an action hero, ever since he entered the film industry. So playing Pathaan was his dream come true.
How could he not discuss the two smashing hits that have already been delivered, before the film could even release. It got Shahrukh grooving, and it surely made me groove to its trendy tunes as well. The drop in Jhoome Jo Pathaan is what he talks about which got him dancing, and he wanted the steps to be easy so that everyone can join in. How could he not praise his leading lady, Deepika Padukone. He points out how only someone of the stature of Deepika, could pull off Besharam Rang and also the action-packed sequences. What did surprise me was when he called John Abraham ‘a gentle giant’ and how John was so scared of hurting him because he was considered a national treasure.
He also urges the audience to go watch the film in the cinema, to truly experience it in the full sense. Releasing on 25th January, make sure you’re ready to take in all this adventure and action coming your way.
