Anurag Kashyap is back with another film, after Dobara. His film Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat is an ‘ode to love’ starring Alaya F and debutant Karan Mehta. The makers dropped the trailer, which starts off with Alaya’s character in her school-going days, being smitten by Karan, while their families disagree with their relationship. They decide that the only way to make this happen is to elope and only love can lead to a revolution.
In this film, Anurag explores themes surrounding modern-day relationships, and how they survive social prejudices, stigmas, and opinions. The film is special also for this very reason, as it is Anurag’s collaboration with Amit Trivedi in terms of music, after their last collaboration in Dev D and Manmarziyaan which went on to gain praise, especially for its music.
Releasing on 3rd February, I am excited to see what this film has in store for us.
