Here’s a day I have been awaiting and was very sure of seeing. Pathaan on its historic run at the box office has finally touched 1000 crores gross worldwide, making it the first Hindi film to do so. This Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer is all set to go down in history as the biggest grosser at the box office, in the first phase of its release. The film was undoubtedly the perfect package of action, drama, and romance, that Bollywood had not seen in a while.

Pathaan has now recorded $45.94 million in the overseas territories alone, while net collection in India stands at 516.92 crores (Hindi – 498.95 crore, Dubbed – 17.97 crore). The total worldwide gross is an incredible 1000 crore (India gross: 623 crores, overseas: 377 crores). Pathaan, on its fourth Monday, saw a solid jump again at the box office. It collected 1.25 crore net in India (Hindi – 1.20 crore, All Dubbed versions – 0.05 crore).
Now here is a feat, that is going to be quite difficult for other films to beat. But Shah Rukh also has films like Dunki and Jawan in the coming year and next. The question is, will they be able to overtake Pathaan numbers, and will the Shah Rukh Khan magic do its work at the box office once again? We shall see, as I am quite excited to catch these two films on the big screen.
