We seldom get a chance to be a part of something associated with the greater good, and recently I got one such opportunity. Over the weekend I was hosted in Hyderabad by producer and actor Lakshmi Manchu who had organized a stellar fundraiser for her NGO Teach For Change which endorses the cause of education in society. It’s been eight years and Lakshmi has come a long way with the cause, this year’s fundraiser was all the more special as Lakshmi managed to bring 40 celebrities on board for the world of entertainment, fashion, and sports. Actors from Bollywood and South collaborated for the cause and walked the ramp wearing a stunning collection by Varun Chakkilam.

Some renowned names included Rakulpreet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani who were the show stoppers, other than them Elnaaz Norouzi, Regina Cassandra, Diganth Manchale and many more walked the ramp. Saina Nehwal from the sports world also sported a stunning black outfit as she walked the ramp. Luckily, I got a chance to speak with Rakul and Jackky about the cause and a lot more.

Well, I even spoke to Lakshmi about how she managed to pull off this herculean task and she revealed how it’s been lots of sleepless nights and efforts to bring it all to fruition. As she spoke, I could also see how proud she was of the entire evening and the way it had unfolded.
