I have come to believe that life is very uncertain. Yes, just a day before yesterday I saw pictures of actor-director Satish Kaushik at Javed Akhtar‘s Holi party and this morning I woke up to the news of his demise. As per reports, 66-year-old Satish was in Delhi to meet somebody when he suffered a heart attack in the car. This unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday and his mortal remains will be brought back to Mumbai on Thursday. While details of his funeral and last rites are yet to be known, condolences from the industry have started pouring in.
Actors Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Madhur Bhandarkar, Riteish Deshmukh, Subhash Ghai, and many more shared their heartfelt condolences on Twitter. In fact, it was Anupam who confirmed the news of Satish’s demise on social media. It is indeed very shocking to know that such a brilliant actor and director is no longer among us. He is survived by his wife Sashi and daughter Vanshika.
On the work front, we saw him in Chhatriwali, Thar, and Sharmaji Namkeen recently, his upcoming projects included Emergency and he was also working on Kaagaz 2. Other than this Kaushik was seen in iconic films like Mr. India, Saajan Chale Sasuraal, Mr. And Mrs. Khiladi, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hai, and many more. He also directed films like Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, Tere Naam, and others. It is indeed a big loss for the film industry today.
