Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is the rom-com Bollywood has been waiting for. With some catchy songs and cheesy dialogues, the fans have been waiting on this one. This is the first time we will be seeing the Ranbir and Shraddha duo on screen, and I thoroughly enjoyed the on-screen chemistry between the two. This film was released on Wednesday, on the occasion of Holi in most parts of the country. On the first day at the box office, the film raked in 15 crores.
This Luv Ranjan directorial got a great boost on day 1 because of Holi celebrations but also lost out on a chunk in areas where Holi was celebrated a day prior, for example, Mumbai. The film made 15.73 crores on its opening day, a pretty good start. However, the film saw a 34% drop in sales as it only raked in 10.34 crores on Day 2. Hoping to see the film pick up over the coming weekend. The film also stars Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor and Anubhav Bassi who made his debut in this film as Ranbir’s close friend. While the songs will keep you hooked, the plot has its own twists and turns that you should watch and find out.

If you are a true blue rom-com lover like me, then this is a must-watch. Go catch it at a cinema near you. As for its OTT release, the film will be released on Netflix hopefully 45 days after its theatrical release. All the Ranbir fans, I hope you are ready to catch him in an entirely new avatar in his next film titled Animal, also starring Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol, making it one of the most awaited films of 2023.
