The Oscar morning was extra exciting for us Indians, as we bagged not just one, but two Oscars this year. It was truly a proud moment at the 2023 Academy Awards. I couldn’t contain my excitement when Naatu Naatu composed by from the film RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR won the Oscar in the Best Original Song category. The team present at the event squealed with joy and it was a pure delight to watch them. And also let me tell you, this was no small win, Naatu Naatu is the first Indian song to win an Oscar ever. It has paved the way for many more to come.

But before that, it was singers who set the stage on fire with their performances. The performance started with a bang and startled Jimmy Kimmel. What followed was a power-packed performance that stunned the audience, and ended with nothing less than a standing ovation. Another personal favourite moment for me was Deepika Padukone announcing the performance amidst giggles and cheers.

The award was received by MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose who are the composers of the song. The speech touched a lot of hearts, not just in the room, but all over the world. While the rest of the team cheered from their seats. The energy of the time looked electric, and why should it not? It was quite a big feat for India as this Tegulu film brought home its first Oscar in the Best Original Song category.

Here’s the rest of the team at the Oscars…

We know you’ve been cheering for them, ever since the nominations were announced, and what a great end to it all! Wishing the team many congratulations on this win!
