Vikram Phadnis celebrated 25 years in fashion with a grand show at Westin Goa, with a fun yet chic collection, titled ‘Merayakan’ at Westin Goa, with Malaika Arora as the showstopper. The night started off with some music and an amazing fine dining experience that was crafted to reflect the creativity and innovation synonymous with the fashion show’s theme. After setting the mood right, Vikram took us through his beautiful journey in the field of fashion, spread over the past 25 years.
The show soon kicked off and the experience was worth the wait. The colour pallette of yellow black and white, was fun and peppy, while the designs stuck to chic resort wear. It absolutely matched the Goa vibe. And then came Mailka Arora, who dazzled the ramp as the show stopper of the night and no one could take their eyes off her, including me. Dressed in a shimmery black gown, with a long flowy jacket, she did utmost justice to Vikram’s designs. The show ended with a few words from Vikram and he did not fail to mention how when he first rung up Malaika, to be the show stopper for the show, he got a resounding yes from the other end.
Not to forget the wonderful stay at the Westin Goa, which started off with a hearty brunch by the pool, at their beautiful property in Anjuna. Truly was as rejuvinating as they promised it to be.
