Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is a new-age rom-com that seems to have won many hearts at the box office. From catchy songs to cheesy lines, this has everything you’re looking for in an entertaining Bollywood film. This is also the first time we will be seeing the Ranbir and Shraddha duo on screen, and the chemistry between the two is impeccable. The fact that they have ranked more than 100 crores at the box office, is proof enough that the audience has thoroughly enjoyed the film.
The film’s gross worldwide collection stands at a whopping 166 crores, and it only looks upwards from here onwards for the makers. The film has collected 131 crores in India, and 35 crores overseas, over the past 10 days. As for per day breakdown, here is how it did in week 1 – Wed 15.73 cr, Thu 10.34 cr, Fri 10.52 cr, Sat 16.57 cr, Sun 17.08 cr, Mon 6.05 cr, Tue 6.02 cr. And here is how it did in week 2 – Fri 3.51 cr, Sat 6.03 cr, Sun 7.16 cr. In the second week as well, there has been a spike in collection over the weekend.
Will it touch the 200-crore mark? I strongly feel so. If you are looking for a young cheesy romcom, then this one’s for you. The film also stars Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor and Anubhav Bassi who made his debut in this film as Ranbir’s close friend.
