Pradeep Sarkar, director of films like Parineeta, Mardani and many others passed away at the age of 67. The director and writer was said to be on dialysis and his potassium levels dropped in the early hours of 24th March. He was soon rushed to the hospital and his condition only got worse. At around 3:30 am, he breathed his last.
Actors like Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee, and Neil Nitin Mukesh expressed their condolences for the director. His demise has been a shocker to everyone in the industry. He started off his directorial career, with Parineeta which is also said to be his career’s best. Known for his women-centric films, he has also directed Mardaani, Laaga Chunri Mein Daag and Helicopter Eela.
