Priyanka Chopra moving to Hollywood has been talked about over and over, and we all can’t help but mention how proud she has made us. This Desi girl has shows like Citadel and a romcom releasing soon, and I am all here for it. However, in a recent podcast called Armchair Expert, Priyanka spilt the beans as to why she decided to go to Hollywood, at the first opportunity that she got. She mentions that she was tired of the politics in Bollywood, and wanted to get away from it and start afresh.

She also mentions how Acharia of Desi Hits approached her for a song and music video, to be recorded and shot in the US. She was shooting Saat Khoon Maaf, and she said that she saw it as the perfect opportunity to make her way out to Bollywood, to Hollywood. She also said that she felt cornered in Bollywood, and Holywood was the best place to start afresh. She was very tired of these mind games and needed a break from all of them.
She says,
I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break. This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require grovelling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.
PC definitely is an example of how when one door closes, you should get knocking on the next. It truly is inspiring to see her fight all the odds and make it big.
