The pre-Oscar party: Second Annual South Asian Excellence celebration hosted by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her manager, Anjula Acharia was a feathery affair to celebrate the laurels of South Asian community at the Oscars, in honour of the nominees RRR, All That Breathes, and The Elephant Whisperers. The cocktail party brought together talents from the South Asian Community who cascaded the venue dressed in South Asian accents. The party was co-hosted by the A-listers like Malala Yousafzai, Mindy Kaling, Kumail Nanjiani, Aziz Ansari, Bela Bajaria, Joseph Patel, Kal Penn, Shruti Ganguly, Radhika Jones, Anita Chatterjee, and the designer duo Falguni & Shane Peacock.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas opted for an ivory lehenga by the Indian designer Falguni Shane Peacock, intricately decorated with feathers, laces and embellishments. The dainty ensemble was a fusion of Indian lehenga-skirt in co-ord set with a vintage Western corset and a lavish jacket. Take a look at the custom made outfit in all white glory and beautifully handcrafted details exuding art and luxury:

“Priyanka looks ethereal in an exquisitely handcrafted ivory, mermaid cut Falguni Shane Peacock Lehenga having intricate embroidery and adorned with sequins and crystals. The ensemble is styled with a sheer corset replete with delicate crystals and a faux feather shrug”, describes the designer in their Instagram caption.

Chopra Jonas’ hairstylist Bridget Brager, dressed her hair in fresh, soft waves with a side part and cocoa highlights for some extra oomph. Looking sultry in the glamorous hair-do, the makeup by Jo Baker matched the frosty vibes. With a touch of matte finish, the eyes were made to stand out with smoky strokes, while the lips were kept popping in shades of rouge.

We love it when Chopra Jonas graces us with her fashion looks making a bold statement. Honouring the Indian designers at Hollywood and at a Global level is a moment in itself, made to celebrate.
