Greta Gerwig’s film, Barbie The Movie has been the talk of the town for all the right reasons, ever since its announcement. The makers have now dropped the main trailer of the film, and it’s pink, bright and everything nice. The star-studded cast is definitely something that will catch your attention, and leading them we have Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. As per leaked images from the shoot, Zendaya is also said to make a cameo in the film. In the trailer, we also see that there is not one, but many Barbies.
The main trailer, released on May 25, gives us a better picture of the plot, with Barbie contemplating her existence and travelling into the human realm.

Apart from Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, we also have Simu Liu, Dua Lipa, Ncuti Gatwa, America Ferrera, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Emerald Fennell, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Hari Nef and the list goes on… The plot of the film looks light-hearted, but with a twist, where we see Barbie along with Ken heading out into the real world. The trailer reveals very little, so we will have to wait and watch for what’s in store for us.

The audience seems to be absolutely smitten by the cast and the premise, with memes floating all over the internet. I have my Barbiecore outfit all ready, as the film releases on July 21st.
