Dev Mohan who has worked vastly in Malayalam cinema is all set to make his Telugu debut alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Shaakuntalam. One of his most memorable roles has to be playing Sufi, in Sufiyam Sujatayam, a role his audience will cherish forever. The actor in his recent interview with Sharavan Shah, Content Head, MissMalini spoke about his film, acting with Samantha and portraying the role of Dushyant, a true blue lover boy. Shravan starts off by asking Dev what made him take up the film Shakuntalam and the role of Dushyant. To which he says how he wanted the millennials today to know about this mythological love story, and how everyone just talks about other iconic pairs, he wants them to remember Dushyant and Shakuntala as well. He also mentions another reason to take up the film was the director Gunasekhar, and also this being his Telugu debut.

Shravan then asks him how it was working with Samantha, and what does he appreciate most about her. He then spoke about how he always appreciates the feedback Samatha has to give. And how she doesn’t shy away from giving him feedback and is always appreciative of a good shot. He also believes that the actor or actress in front of you is your first audience.

Talking about his role, he is asked how he feels about playing Dushyant and being remembered as him. He says it was really challenging because he wanted to put his best foot forward. He also wanted to connect to millennials with this story and make it easy for them to connect to this story. The millennials are sure to remember him as Dushyant, another iconic role added to his cap.
