One of the biggest nights, when it comes to fashion is here. The Met Gala is held every year on the first Monday of May, and is hosted by none other than Anna Wintour. The theme for the year was Karl Lagerfeld – A Line Of Beauty, a tribute to the designer who revived some of the biggest fashion houses like Chanel and Fendi, among many others. Some of the biggest stars from all fields were present on the stairs of the Met, looking absolutely dazzling in their best outfits. From Alia Bhatt To Priyanka Chopra, here are all the stars from the glamorous night.
Alia Bhatt made her debut at this prestigious event, donning a white gown, in a bride inspired look designed by Prabal Gurung, very much on theme with ‘Karl’s Chanel Brides.’ Also present was Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas who paid their tribute to Karl in their black and white Valentino fits. No one could take their eyes off Priyanka’s necklace which was worth Rs. 200 crores. The paps also spotted Isha Ambani leaving her hotel in a black silk Prabal Gurung creation, which was a creative spin on a saree and could be called a ‘saree-gown.’ Lastly we had Natasha Poonawalla who is known for putting her best foot forward when it comes to fashion. To no one’s surprise, the socialite wore Schiaparelli, and showed everyone exactly what the future of fashion is.
Some other looks that stole my heart were by Anne Hathaway who wore an Atelier Versace gown, Doja Cat as well, who looked eccentric with her tribute to Karl’s cat Choupette. Riri with A$AP Rocky absolutely stole to the show with her over the top dress laden with flowers, that each took 3 hours to make. It was one hell of a glam night but there was some stars which were definitely missed – Zendaya, Blake Lively, Taylor Swift, Billy Porter and Timothée Chalamet. But I cannot wait to see what’s in store for us next year.
