As Karan Johar celebrates 25 years in the industry, he celebrated the occasion by dropping the first look of his highly anticipated film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He takes on the role of director after his work Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016. This romcom was highly awaited not just because it was a Karan Johar Film, but also because it stars two of Bollywood’s biggest superstars – Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The two are set to star in the lead of this romcom and Karan has finally dropped the first look of the film.
Karan Johar took to Instagram to share the poster of the film, which features Ranveer Singh as Rocky and Alia as Rani. He introduced the characters as Rocky, who is said to wear his heart on his sleeve, is an absolute heartthrob and is spotted on the poster wearing eccentric clothing. On the other hand, we have Rani, who is said to steal hearts and her look is rather traditional with a touch of spice. He also mentions how it is Rocky and Rani’s world and we’re about to be a part of it. But that is not all, we are yet to meet their parivaar as well.
So save the date, as this romcom is said to hit the screens on 28th July. I cannot contain my excitement to see this fun pair on the big screen together!
