Marvel’s next film Secret Invasion is all set to release on 21st June and stars none other than Nick Fury. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no joke. The characters, plot lines and the way two characters are connected can be confusing and overwhelming even to me sometimes. This is why, I have made a list of 10 movies you should watch before watching Secret Invasion. All of these films are available to stream on Disney+ Hostar.

1. Black Panther
In this film, we see the return of Agent Ross, who will also be seen in Marvel’s Secret Invasion. He is the one to learn about a massive conspiracy involving rogue Skrull. The film also deals with the plot of the various political pressures and an arms race.
2. Avengers Endgame
Nicky Fury was seen attending Iron Man’s funeral in this film, one that shocked many. He was also one of many brought back to life by the Avengers after Thanos’ snap and the last scene of the film gave us an idea of his role in Iron Man’s life, making it a must-watch to know more about him.
3. Captain Marvel
The film Secret Invasion is almost said to be a sequel to this film, as it was this film that first introduced the characters of Talos and his refugee Skrull. This also sets the tone of the relationship of Fury with them, as a faction of Skrulls are tired of waiting on Talos and Fury to come to a conclusion and wish to take over Earth.
4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
In this film we see Nick Fury rising from the ashes after having his life torn apart. There are not many that he trusts, but he does trust one person – Maria Hill who is not featured in the film but plays a major role in the Secret Invasion.
5. Avengers: Age of Ultron
Though he does not play a major role in this film, it goes on to show how big of a role he can possibly play and how capable he is of pulling major surprises. The film also highlights how little one knows about Fury.
6. Spider-Man: Far From Home
The post-credit scene from this film revealed that Talos and his wife with simming Nick Fury and Maria Hill while Nick was said to be on vacation. This isn’t the first time Talos posed as Nick and it won’t be the last.
7. Iron Man
The film marks the beginning of Nick Fury’s journey in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe as he sneaks into Tony Stark’s mansion and begins his work of assembling the Avengers for the battles that he foresees.
8. Iron Man 2
The film gives the audience a tease about the director of SHEILD and the various tasks and crises he has on his plate. Don Cheadle also stepped in as Rhodey in the 2010 sequel, and his work with the U.S. Government is a major plot point in Secret Invasion.
9. Captain America: The First Avenger
Nick Fury is seen recruiting Captain America as the first Avenger. His appearance was brief but his role as the director of SHIELD was significant in the film.
10. The Avengers
This is the first time we see Nick Fury in a full role, which goes beyond his cameos and brief appearances as the director of SHIELD. Nick along with SHEILD gets the Avengers together in an attempt to bring back the Tesseract stolen by Thor’s brother Loki.
