One such story that he has been working on for the past 20 years is Baiju Bawra which is finally set to see the light of day. As per reports, the director has roped in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt for the lead roles in this dream project of his that has been in the works for the last 20 years. There has been no confirmation on the casting of this film, however, if the rumours are true, it would be exciting to see Ranveer and Alia pair up for the third time, after Gully Boy and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film is said to be a musical, based on the 1955 film also titled Baiju Bawra. His upcoming project includes Heeramandi which will be releasing on Netflix soon.
