Rishabh Shetty stunned us all with not just his acting but also his direction in Kantara. The film was an absolute blockbuster for its gripping and heart-touching story and of course the stunning performance by its cast. The filmmaker announced the launch of the prequel with a grand muhurta ceremony on the 27th Of August.
I was absolutely stoked by the film when I first saw it. It surely is one of those films that stays with you forever. In the prequel I am looking forward to having a lot of questions answered that the first part left me with. Mostly, about the disappearance of Shiva’s father in the middle of the forest. And also what was his journey like until he disappeared leaving behind a wife and a child. The actor-filmmaker has already started preparing for the role by taking up horse-riding and kalarippayattu lessons for the role. The filming is set to begin in September, however, there has been no official confirmation on this from Rishab’s team.
I am sure all the Rishabh Shetty fans were absolutely thrilled upon hearing about the prequel in the making, but will it match up to the level of magnanimity of the first part? We will have to wait and find out…
