Dinesh Vijan is bringing back this horror comedy, that had everyone raving about it when it first came out. Stree opened up the horror-comedy genre in India and how! Starring in this iconic film were Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and more. The cast is returning with a sequel and the fans are absolutely thrilled upon hearing this news. The actors took to Instagram to announce the commencement of filming this film.
The second part is going to be bigger and better and promises to bring with it an array of surprises for the audience. The film was a super hit in 2018, and it is back once again to win hearts. The announcement video starts off with an eerie-looking street followed by a wall writing that says ‘O Stree Kal Aana’, which soon fades into something else, giving us a glimpse into what to expect in the sequel. The text reads ‘Sarkate ka Aatank’ which translates to ‘The Horrors of the Headless’. Is the ghost in the next going to be a headless one? We will have to wait and find out.
Another video was also released of the cast and crew from the sets of Stree 2 in Chanderi. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik, and produced by Jio Cinema and Dinesh Vijan. There has been no confirmation on the release date of the film, we will have to wait for that announcement.
