Greta Gerwig’s film Barbie has been in the news for all the right reasons. From the extensive promotions to Margot Robbie’s outfits that have stunned everyone with their connection to the actual Barbie outfits. The hype in India is also unreal with people picking their Barbie-themed outfits for the film. The film is slated to release in India on 21st July, along with the rest of the world. As per reports, the film has already sold 17,000 tickets across national chains for its opening day via advance bookings.

Apart from the 17,000 tickets sold for its opening day, the film has sold 40,000 tickets for its opening weekend and things are surely looking bright for Barbie at the box office in India. Out of the 17,000 tickets sold, 13,000 have been sold via PVR, while Inox and Cinepolis have managed to sell 2000 tickets each. According to a report in Pinkvilla, this Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer is looking at a 4 Crore opening only in India. It is also to be noted that this film has however sold fewer tickets than Oppenheimer has, for its opening weekend.
