Bigg Boss OTT season 2 has had some really interesting moments with intense arguments, surprises, and lots of entertainment in each episode. People always talked about the fights for captaincy and how things change between the contestants. In the latest episode we witness such a moment, right from Manisha Rani and Bebika Dhurve patching up to Jiya Shankar becoming the captain of the house, there were plenty of moments that got me at the edge of my seat.
Here are 4 highlights from the 18th Episode…
1. Captaincy Task
Abhishek Malhan was caught taking advantage of his captaincy and instead of doing his duties, he was spotted taking a nap and breaking the rules himself. This made Bigg Boss challenge his captaincy and also challenge other contestants in the house to see who could be a better captain. The team had to surround a buzzer and stand behind the red line around the buzzer in a square shape. All contestants had to stand before the line and whoever presses it first will win and get to eliminate one person from becoming the captain for that week. Jad Hadid couldn’t participate as he was nominated by Bigg boss therefore he had to judge who presses the buzzer first from a height. Abhishek being the tallest won first and eliminated Bebika. Avinash Sachdev and Abhishek were the only two contestants who reached the buzzer and eventually, they eliminated each other as well. Eventually, Avinash had to choose between Pooja Bhatt and Jiya for captain and he came to the decision of choosing Jiya. Jiya then gets an option to remove one contestant from nomination and replace with either Abhishek or Pooja who are not nominated. She then chooses herself and nominates Pooja.
2. Jiya Shankar Becomes Captain
After Avinash chooses Jiya as captain, she gets into a big argument with Manisha and this makes matters worse for Jiya in the house. Jiya instructs Manisha to sleep in the room but Manisha explained to her she has health issues and the air conditioning is too strong for her in the room therefore she sleeps in the hall where it is lighter. Jiya tells her to take matters with Bigg Boss and this makes Manisha think that she only did this to prove her captaincy. Cyrus Broacha also gets involved and gets angry at Jiya and her behaviour like never before. Bebika and Abhishek also get involved and argue with Jiya. Falaq Naazz and Avinash then go and explain that if she behaves like this they will not support her as the captain of the house.
3. Ration Distribution Task
To prove her captaincy, Jiya was given a task to distribute the ration to the contestants on a ranking basis, who deserves the most ration to who deserved the least and contestants will have to survive with only that much for the entire week. Jiya also had the option to send one contestant to jail who breaks the most rules and that contestant gets no ration. While distributing Jiya distributes as to who eats what and not who deserves the food more which makes Bigg Boss question if she still wants to be captain.
4. Manisha Rani Goes To Jail
During the ration task, Jiya had to choose one contestant to go to jail with the most rule breaks. Jiya then chose Manisha which angered the other contestants and they felt like she did it for personal reasons and not because Manisha breaks any rules. Manisha then proceeds to jail which everyone felt was unfair and she did not deserve it. Manisha also gets no ration for the week.
5. Manisha Rani Patches Up With Bebika Dhruve
Manisha Rani and Bebika Dhurve reignite their friendship as Bebika takes a stand for her throughout and fights with Jiya for Manisha. Manisha thinks Bebika only did that because previously Manisha did not nominate Bebika. Before going to sleep at night Bebika also sits near the jail and has a conversation with Manisha to which Jiya said that at least you both patched up for this reason to which Bebika subtly agrees.
This episode was full of twists and turns and it is extremely surprising to see Bebika and Manisha reignite their friendship, also seeing Cyrus get so furious for the first time was really something new on this season. Jiya becoming captain is very exciting and I look forward to see how her captaincy goes this week.
