Alia Bhatt’s looks from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani were highly appreciated and loved by all. The sarees were designed by Manish Malhotra himself and two have successfully seemed to have brought back the chiffon sarees in trend once again. Rani’s looks have been the talk of the town and Alia Bhatt wants to add a philanthropist touch to this success. The actress has announced the next edition of her
closet-sharing initiative ‘Mi Wardrobe is Su Wardrobe’ (MiSu). Read on to know more about this heart touching initiative.

The sarees that Alia wore in the film, will now be available for sale, from today onwards, on Manish Malhotra‘s website. The proceeds of the earnings from this edition of MiSu will go to SNEHA(Society for Nutrition Education and Health Action), a not-for-profit organization in India that holistically addresses preventive and promotive healthcare for vulnerable women and children. It surely is a warm gesture from Alia and Manish, and I hope more actors and designers follow suit!

Commenting on this, Alia said,

This is our first ever designer collaboration on MiSu and Manish and I have been working closely together to ensure that all the sarees that I have worn while promoting the film, reach you. All of Rani’s sarees tell their own unique kahaani, and I can’t wait for others to wear and love them as much as I did. All proceeds from this wardrobe will go towards supporting the wonderful work being done by SNEHA for women and children.

Over the years, Alia Bhatt has conducted many such successful instalments of MiSU to support a
significant cause and has joined hands with various of her peers from Priyanka Chopra, Anushka
Sharma and Varun Dhawan to name a few.
