There has been a trend of filmmakers re-releasing iconic films from back in the days that captivated the audience with their plots and performances of the actors. One of the most iconic films in Hrithik Roshan’s career has to be Koi Mil Gaya. The actor truly rose to fame for his role in this film. Alongside Hrithik, it also starred Preity Zinta who won the hearts of the audience as the girl next door. This film by Rakesh Roshan is now all set to re-release in cinemas.

The film is set to release on 4th August in PVR Inox, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary on 8th August. This iconic film will screen in 30 cities across India and I am waiting to see how the audience responds to this. Rakesh Roshan in an interview with Pinkvilla confirmed this news saying that the PVR Inox team reached out to him to celebrate its 20th Anniversary. In the interview, he also mentioned that he hopes that this re-release marks as a family outing and introduces the new generation to the magic of ‘Jadoo’. The filmmaker also addressed the film’s status as a cult favourite and the impact it has had in the pop culture space.
This sci-fi film, which struck an emotional cord due to its character Jadoo and the mission to get him back home, saw great success upon its release 20 years ago. I cannot wait to see how years later the film does at the box office.
