The Pinkvilla report says that the Delhi Belly actor will return to acting with an action spy thriller that is set to be directed by Abbas Tyrewala. It was Abbas who directed his first film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and looks like Imran Khan wants to restart his career with the same director. The two have been discussing this project and things have been progressing positively, as per the same article. But one thing to note is that he will not be returning to screens with a chocolate boy character, instead, he will be seen playing the age-appropriate role of an intelligence officer in this yet-untitled show for a leading OTT platform.
Abbas will be the writer and showrunner of this project, while Siddhart Roy Kapoor is said to produce it. It is also said that he will undergo an intense physical transformation for his character. Whatever may be the role, I am quite thrilled to see Imran making his comeback!
