War is one of the most celebrated action films and franchises under the YRF banner. It was the film that also opened doors to the entire YRF Spy Universe which saw a number of other franchises under its name. War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff was a humungous success at the box office and ever since fans have been awaiting a sequel to the same. War 2 was announced with Hrithik Roshan in the lead, while Jr NTR is all set to play the negative role in the film.
Now coming to the release date of War 2, as per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Aditya Chopra, the producer of the film, is looking at a 2025 Republic Day release for his action-packed film. The Republic Day weekend proves to be a great money-making week for filmmakers, as more people are open to visiting cinemas for a film. Coincidently, we also recently learnt that Hrithik’s Fighter is also looking at a Republic Day release, but in 2024. MissMalini also broke the news that Kiara Advani will also be part of the cast of War 2. The first part of the film was directed by Siddharth Anand, but it seems to have changed hands for its sequel.

Ayaan Mukerji is said to be the director of this Hrithik-Jr NTR action drama and I cannot wait to see what the filmmaker has in store for us. The director has not made any action films in the past, I am eagerly waiting to see how he surprises the audience with this one.
