Bollywood is back in full swing with its theatrical releases. Films like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, Satyaprem Ki Katha starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar did quite a number at the box office in the first half of the year with a theatrical release. August looks very interesting for Bollywood at the theatres as there are some very exciting films lined up for release. Check out movies releasing in August 2023 below:

1. OMG 2

This Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam starrer is a social comedy that focuses on the topic of sex education. The film faced a lot of objections from the CBFC board for its sensitive context revolving around religious topics but has finally received clearance and is said to be released on 11th August.

2. Dream Girl 2

Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to return to your screens with his much-loved character Pooja from Dream Girl. The film also stars Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal and Vijay Raaz alongside him and I cannot wait to see the magic Pooja brings to our screen. This film is set to be released in cinemas on 25th August.

3. Gadar 2

August looks like a month of sequels, with Gadar 2 being the third sequel releasing this month. Sunny Deol brings back his iconic role of Tara Singh along with Ameesha Patel as Sakina. The story of these star-crossed lovers is all set to win your hearts once again with its emotional storyline. The film is set to release on 11th August, alongside OMG 2.

4. Ghoomer

Saiyami Kher and Abhishek Bachchan‘s sports drama is power-packed with great performances and a gripping storyline, from the first look at the trailer that the makers dropped today. This story of a cricket prodigy is surely going to make its way to the hearts of the audience. The film is set to release on 18th August and it should surely going to be on my watchlist.

5. Akelli

This Nushrratt Bharuccha film is inspired by a Middle Eastern woman who fights various circumstances and is forced to make life-threatening decisions to support her family. It takes us through a journey of determination and courage and its plot will surely captivate you. this film is said to be released on 18th August.
