Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha travelled to Haifa in Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival for her recently released film ‘Akelli’ which was inspired by a Middle Eastern woman who fights various circumstances and is forced to make life-threatening decisions to support her family. The actress was however caught amidst a war-like life-threatening situation due to the conflict in the region. This had her family, friends and fans worried for her safety, but the actress soon returned to India safely. The actress has now taken to Instagram to share her experience and shared a statement on the same.

In this statement, the actress spoke up about the terror she was under as she heard bombs go off around her. She was taken into an underground chamber for her security and she in this statement she shares details about the environment around her. She also mentions how she tried to reach the Indian ambassadors. It was with the help of these officials and the hotel staff that helped her get to the airport. In the note, she also thanked the Government of India and the Indian Embassy for their help and support towards her and her team in these difficult times. She then also went on to thank every well-wisher for their prayers and for her safety.

The actress shared a video as well stating that she is back home and safe.
