Now, nearly two decades after its release, fans of the original film have a reason to rejoice as a sequel is in the works, and scripting is already in progress.

According to a report in News18 Aryeman Ramsay, son of late producer Keshu Ramsay said that while they cannot reprise the roles of Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, since both of them die in the first film, they will begin talks with Amitabh Bachchan once the scripting is done. The project is in the early stages of development, with scripting currently underway. While details about the storyline and the new characters remain closely guarded secrets, it’s safe to say that this sequel will inherit the same pulse-pounding action and suspenseful storytelling that made the original a classic.

While the release date remains uncertain, one thing is clear: the “Khakee” sequel is a project that will be closely watched and eagerly awaited by movie enthusiasts around the world.
