Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha’s first production venture ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ have been selected to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2024. The actor-duo produced film is an Indo-French official co-production collaboration between Pushing Buttons Studios, Blink Digital, Crawling Angel Films, and Dolce Vita Films. ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ is one of the 16 films to participate in the competition section of the Sundance Film Festival 2024. Here’s what Richa Chadha has to say about her production house’s remarkable achievement…

“It gives me immense joy to share that our maiden feature as producers, ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ directed by #ShuchiTalati, has been accepted at @sundanceorg film festival, and will premiere there in Jan 2024! It is in the competition It stars the beautiful and multi-award winning @kantari_kanmani and marks the debut of the exceptional Preeti Panigrahi @preetiwooman and @kesav.b,” Richa Chadha wrote while announcing the film’s selection at the Sundance Film Festival 2024.

Set in a boarding school in a small Himalayan hill station in northern India ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ is a captivating film that follows the story of Mira, a 16-year-old girl whose rebellious journey intertwines with her mother’s unfulfilled coming-of-age experiences. I wish all the best to Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal for their future projects as producers. May both of you continue making us proud at International platforms!
